The Stanton Slackline... she's so beautiful.
I've only just built up my small Cotic BFe too, yet this little temptress is now always in the back of my mind. Trying to tease me away. Lure me into sin.
How do I get this little minx out of my head!
Its a ****ing bike ffs. Next you'll be dressing like one of these idiots
Haha - was only meant to be a lightweight post - not like I'm going to start selling crack to fund it.
FWIW he really does look quite dashing.

They do look like good frames though, but not that good.
The Slacker reminds me alot of a Genisis Alpitude.

Brilliant!
To be honest, I think the Slackline looks very similar to the NS Surge, with a slight bit of lightly longer BFe geo thrown in.
So a man can't even spend a night with his bike in a hotel? I'm not sure if he actually did anything wrong (odd yes, but wrong?). I just hope he was safe and didn't go tubeless.
I agree, looks like a Genesis 853 frame (not a bad thing). What differentiates it from other LTHT frames?

Really, I'm not sure it looks like the Genesis at all. Not sure it's much different from other LTHT on the market, but there's something in the geometry/lines that makes it look great - although only in the smaller frame imo.
Personally I find full-sussers generally quite ugly things - but each to their own. Beauty, beholder - all that stuff.
The Stanton Slackline
Sounds like something Brunel built, in the olden days.
just looks like an expensive copy of an NS bikes surge to me.
I watched Jinsy the other night and can't stop think about the licky licky song, but each to there own eh?
It is a really nice looking frame, with almost perfect geometry for me. To bad its a bit too expensive.
I agree it does look a bit like a surge, which is no bad thing as it is my favorite frame ever, but they don't do it in a big enough size.
I would snap one up if they were 100 quid cheaper. Not really too fussed that it is made out of 853, my surge wasn't and it was brilliant.
I'm 6'3 and ride a large surge. Could be a little longer in the seatpost, but with a long seattube it fits me like a glove. Nice long top tube. You want a bike like this to come up a bit small anyway.
The large surge has a longer toptube (by 1") than the large slackline
5lab - do you use your surge for any xc or longer trail rides? Or just as a hacking in the woods/4x bike?
If 'yes' for the former, how does it get on? Does it feel cramped?
I use it for all sorts, its my most xc oriented bike. The seat tube lenght (I have a rase 9" dropper post on there) is a touch short for long road slogs, but fine for trail riding (a 350mm post is fine for road riding, the rase is a little shorter at full length). Length-wise its great. The 24.2" horizontal top tube is really long. Its just a smidge shorter than a 20" on-one summer season, and longer than the 19" bfe (to compare it to similar bikes). My mates got the large bfe, and they ride pretty similarly, I'd say the surge is a little more nimble and flickable, at the expense of climbing. The seat obviously goes lower on the surge, which i really like (i prefer to get it right out the way), but with the seats up they seem pretty similar.
if you're near brighton you can come and have a play
Lovely bike!
I know what you mean - i was looking at it and thinking i need that for the winter then i seen the cost.

T'other night, I was out on my bike in That London's Famous London, wearing nice selvedge jeans, a 'retro' cycling top, and 'retro cycling' style shoes. I looked well buff. And horror of horrors, I din't give a poo what some MAMIL on an MTB forum thought of me, or anyone else for that matter.
Life's funny like that, isn't it? ๐
