I'm after a 2nd bike - one that can be a bit more of a hooligan on the Welsh trail centres and the Mendips / Quantocks in the drier months. I quite fancy an Orange 5 but for almost half the money I can get a Pitch Pro. They get rave reviews. Are they that good. One of my fears (except the obvious one as to why would anyone want a turd brown bike) is that I had a Spec FSR XC Pro a couple of years ago and didn't get on with it. It broke way too easily. 5 or Pitch?
If you hang around much longer I'd love to see you try and get a pitch full stop - ignoring it being half price... 😀
What broke on the XC Pro?
Had a couple of Fives over the years, just got a Pitch Comp seems to be a good a bike early indidcations are good. The Pitch I think will be better, but I need to ride the Pitch more to confirm. It would probably be better still when/if I replace the rear shock with a RP23 to get rid of the X-Fusion.
You'll be lucky to get a Pitch before september.... Spesh UK are now sold out and the only bikes that are left are the ones already in shops.
And yes, they are bloody good bikes.
(Biased Pich owner)
😉
They've got one in Hargroves for £1300
(I was tempted...)
(only jokin')
Try calling Stourport Specialist Cycles,Nr Kidderminster.I ordered a Pitch Pro in Large 3 weeks ago but cancelled it.They may have it in the shop.Otherwise,as the others said, they are getting like rocking horse shizzle.
They're bloody ace thats why, and great value for money.
The Specialized COncept Store in Chester has atleast one of each bike in stock
They're rubbish, I wouldn't bother personally. 🙂
Evans have the medium in stock in their sale

Had a shot on a Pitch Pro on Saturday after I got talking to an owner in the car park at Carron Valley. He let me have a pedal around the car park. Even from that short ride, it felt lovely.
Ah, the good old pedal round the car park 6" travel bike test, best get the credit card out then 😛
Mine thinks it's an xc bike and keeps going up steep snowy hills!! whats goin on 😯 😆
Steve , are the pics on from last night yet?

Hope thats a sarcy comment
Point is, there are few bikes that will climb like it does and[i] let you descend in a fast controlled manner that this bike does too... (At this Price point)
Myself an Steve_b77 bought ours "pre-hype" so unfortunately paid the full whack but was still worth that. So buy one at the current price and get a bargain.
On the brain evolution note: Don't know much about that but perhaps I've learned to climb reasonably well in the 20 years I've been doing this sport.
Brains dont get you up hills, legs certainly do 🙂
