A ton of cheapo 1 1/2' steerer forks on CRC at the moment.

Got some tapered Revs off Merlin for £314 earlier this year with a DT240 hub chucked in 😯

It will be OEM forks being offloaded by bike manufacturers like they do every year. Every man and his dog had a tapered fork bike in the range this year so the market will see more of them being offloaded.

But for those that do, and have, it's cheap-fork-tastic!! 🙂

They where yet another way of the manufacturers trying to kid us the buying public that we needed them.
The cycle industry is full of innovations claiming to be the next big thing, very few have any real benefit or significance. Those that believe the HYPE and make the purchase fuel the fire claiming the difference is wonderful and how a whole new world has opened-up for them.

10 & 11 Speed casettes are a clasic.
Its nothing new, Fishing tackle industry is even worse.

Just for the record I do own a bike with tapered steerer tube.

Maybe i'm the exception to the rule here but i do have a frame needing new forks with a tapered steerer. Anyone seen any bargaintastic fox 140's anywhere?
