[#6711236]

My total bike collection is now 27.5". As such the pile of 26" tyres in my garage (that I'm a little tired of tripping over) is now surplus to requirements.

There's around 20 tyres in total (Maxxis, Intense, Spesh, etc) and a range of widths.
As I'm in the industry I've blagged quite a lot of these for free and not paid a huge amount for the rest so I'm happy to give a few pairs to several deserving recipients for nothing. All I ask is that you donate some cash to a worthy charity at this festive time of year.

If you're interested in having a few please email me on richie@silverfish-uk.com with your address and il get some sent.

Cheers

R

No offence fudge but your entire history on here appears to be selling in the classifieds - I genuinely don't mean offence with this - but, it's hard for me not to worry that I'm going to GIVE you tyres that you then sell.

Fair concern?

Hi Renton - I genuinely can't remember I'm afraid but I was just going to grab a few pairs of any brand for each person in a lucky dip stylee.
It'll be a nice surprise 🙂

Yep that will be fine for me thank you very much.

I've sent you an email but got an out of office reply.

Do you have and preferred charities?

As I'm military I was going to donate to help for heroes.

Yeah sorry - forgot to say, due to the latest Minisilverfish arrival you'll get my auto office but I'll pick up the mails regardless.
Glad the gesture has been well received and the tyres will be used rather than creating a trip hazard!

Help for Heros is perfect. I'm happy for the recipients to choose though.

No offence taken mate I'm just very fickle, my main reason was it was a charitable donation, my wife runs a charity and volunteers with the homeless so I was posting more for the reason of donating, and the tyres were to be donated locally aswell.

Right, I had a heap of emails for these tyres so I guess 26" aint dead yet 😉

That said, most people didn't actually give me their postal address which makes sending stuff in the post quite hard.

Anyway - a little tyre bundle is coming out to 5 people right now. Plus a DT Swiss front wheel to one lucky person too as, well, if I'm honest, I couldn't be bothered to take the tyre off.
Dont get too excited though - its a bit battered and trail scarred.

Thanks in advance for making donations guys.

Cheers

Richie

For those late to the Singletrack Rubber Aid* party my name is Sodajim, and I had a rubber problem.

I'm happy to follow Richie's lead as I know he's a decent little chap and do the same thing with my spare rubber. All 26" and all probably barely ridden before they got discounted for being wrong for me. All folding and at the time the pukka compound versions.

Off the top of my head without taking a look:
Pair 2.4ish small block 8's unused
2.1 ish Maxi Aspen, Advantage, Crossmark 1 of each and all the hi tpi ones.
2.3 pair Conti Speed King Supersonic, used but plenty of life as they don't wear out.
Pair 2.1 Conti Speed King Supersonic, less use but narrow though would be nice for a commuter/ towpath build.
2.2 I think Racing Ralf UST Evo's pair.

I think that's it for the ones I know definitely are not for me. They are all at least 4 years old so expect cobwebs, the odd trace of dry mud and possibly dried up white residue depending on if I was experiment with tubeless at the time. Donations to the charity of your choice but just take into account I'm pretty tied up over the next few weeks and Christmas so they might not get posted until the week commencing 5th Jan when I'm back at work with my feet up which shouldn't be a problem as they are all pretty much summer treads.

email james at neebholdings dot co .uk

Come on people, take Richie's lead and lets make a difference this christmas ....

It's Christmastime; there's no need to be afraid
At Christmastime, you let in light with your rubber-aid
And in our world of small wheels we can spread a smile of gnar
Throw your arms around the tyre at Christmastime

But say a prayer to pray for 29er ones
At Christmastime
It's hard, but when you're having more 26er fun
There's a world outside your window
And it's a world of old fashioned gear
Where the trails won't come alive due to the 650b fear

And the Pro2 hubs that ring there
Are the clanging chimes of vroom
Well tonight thank STW it's free tyres for you
And we hope that there'll be snow in Britain this Christmastime

The greatest gift we'll get is time to ride our bikes
Oh, where everything is cool and the rain and trails flow
Christmas can't come fast enough at all

Here's to you, spin a wheel for ev'ryone
Here's to us, underneath that freezing sun
With free tyres from Richie and sodajim

Spin the wheel etc

@Richiethesilverfish sadly I've mised on the tyre giveaway but perhaps instead you could let me know when the yeti asr c will be available as a frame set only and how much it'll be? Also do you know of anywhere I could demo one in the north west or north Wales?

Cheers
