Done about 2 miles on the mtb and it was awful. Almost washed out so many times, all the stuff is compacted down now so theres no grip.

Melting here but still haaarrdd work. The problem now is the snow melt as even with mudguards, you get wet and freeze.

Went out earlier. Slush, mud, snow, ice and rock were the main surfaces contended with. I had to work harder than I have in along time, but it was great. I actually managed to ride some quite techy stuff, so it was quite pleasing, if a little hairy at times!

Great fun round Langsett - nice run out to it, some slidey fun and some walking. Nice trundle up (as much as we could do without falling) then a road trip back to Lower Cumberworth

Freezing blasts up top and a slush and slitherfest lower down - legs aching. Good to get the lungs going.

Done 200+ in last 14 days, sick of everybody moaning and boasting, it's snow, not armagedon. Get a grip!

Went over Stanage, down to Hathersage then back through Blacka. Compared to last weekend which was ace riding in shite weather, this was shite riding in ace weather... Thick soft wet snow meant that climbing was mostly pushing and descending was pot luck point and hope. The Packhorse Trail was hilarious, and almost worth the PITA push/drag/slog to get up to it from Redmires.

Did just 4 miles from Hayfield this morning, towards Rowarth then over to Lantern Pike and down to Birch Vale:

To be honest, it was hard bloody work!

Where did you go Rich? Snow was a bit sugary in Ogden too but nice soft landings for the jumps. ๐Ÿ™‚

Even with snow bikes we were defeated by 2-3 foot snow plus drifts today, bombed down tractor tracks from the farmers busy feeding livestock ๐Ÿ™‚
still ace fun ๐Ÿ™‚
