That's a crap way for Ragot to lose the lead... Don't know the UCI rules word for word but I'd always understood you have to rejoin the course where you left- that's what we've always been briefed as marshalls, rejoining further down being a straight dq.

Yep... But I don't see how that's any different from Peaty in Labresse, and he was way down the places IIRC not competing for first and overall. She didn't gain by leaving the course but she definately did gain by rejoining further down.
