[Closed] Who's ridden the Motatapu?

Quite fancy it but need to get my entry in soon if I'm going to. I think there was a singletrack article on it 3 or 4 years back? Anyone know what issue?

It's a 42 km ride through some privately-owned big country down from Wanaka. Therefore the route is otherwise inaccessible.

Stevious summarised that he has glad he'd ridden it but wouldn't ride it again.
It's expensive @ ~ $200 (GBP 100) for the entry fee and return shuttle.
Entries are filling up and the start order is based on entry order - so I'd start near the back (and do lots of overtaking).
I may not be able to ride it next year.

There are lots of other ride in 'big country' that you don't have to pay for, and might be more fun. But has anyone else ridden it?
