On Wednesday night it will be one of the times in the year when the moon will be closest to the earth and so we should have a 'super moon' - This is more of a PSA if you were considering it at all. The weather forecast for Wednesday is heavy rain where I am (staffs) and I was planning to ride out 8-11ish.
… a new or full moon which occurs with the moon at or near (within 90% of) its closest approach to Earth in a given orbit.
There's also another one at the end of Jan.

Well, it may be a super moon but it will also be a New Moon, which means there is nothing to see except perhaps a thin strip of glow around its perimeter.
And it'll be up during the day, not night! Moonrise at about 6:45, setting around 3:30.
