Immense fun and the Stache did really well even in the puffy stuff.

in the last photo, the snow is over a foot deep and the Stache is sinking only about 3 inches into it with tyres at 8psi.

Got out this morning for a second snowy ride. Was great at first (apart from the traction issues where people had been walking - can't remember another ride where I spent as much time sideways) but as the morning wore on it just got dirtier, softer and slushier. Was horrible by the end of the ride. Hopefully this rain we now have will have got rid of it all by morning...

Headed West to Conwy as Macc forest has loads of trees down, Charity and the likes are just level with snow and not been Conwy for a while.

was a tough one with a few bits of pushing through the snow, but 99% rideable so well worth the trip. Found a little snow cave someone had built just after the YH @ Rowen too

@colournoise - it was a nightmare even on the fat-bike. The thawing slush was unbelievably awful.

Had great fun ๐Ÿ™‚ The Snow had an ice crust on it by the time I got out. In places it stopped you dead, and going downhill I was actually worried it might slash the sidewalls!

Where some keen/idiotic 4x4ers had been out to lay tracks I got quite good traction.

At one point on a downhill the ice was thick enough to ride on top of the snow. That was interesting at 20mph+

Managed to get a quick local 16 miler in on Saturday morning before it melted. First ever proper snow ride for me, loved it, was tough riding in fresh stuff and waist high drifts at times meant a bit of hike n bike, but great fun, no where near as sketchy as I thought it would be, such a shame this happens so rarely in the UK.
