How was it?
Unfortunately I missed it due to work so what I want to hear is that it hammered down with rain all night and it was in no way enjoyable.
I somehow doubt it ๐Ÿ™

Warm , sunny, dark, cloudy, mildly damp, plenty midgies, very fast and quite good fun! (in that order)

I soloed it - 9 laps which I was happy enough with considering that until yesterday afternoon I was looking forward to doing it as a pair!

I am know very tired, pretty battered and suffering from a Hi Five hangover.

Was a lovely night for it. I was there taking some blurry snaps and getting eaten by midgies whnever the wind dropped, which wasn't too often thankfully.
This was shortly before midnight

Yup - racing in pairs and doing not badly (sitting 4th) until I was stricken by crippling cramp. Had trouble walking to and from the transition at about 2am. Mate had a bad shoulder too so we had to DNF. Pity really because it was a brilliant event with near-perfect racing conditions and a great atmosphere but having to sit down on the descents because trying to stand caused my calves to seize up was the decider.

C'est la vie...

Midgies weren't a problem because fortunately they had marshals standing around to feed them. Midgie farming? ๐Ÿ™‚

Rain stayed away until prizegiving.

New section was difficult for me because I had a low BB so my pedals were striking stumps on both sides. Was crashing too much so it was frustrating to have to walk what should have been a nice fast singletrack.

Solo, SS, 7 laps.

IMO man of the event was the 10 year old who did 4 laps on a singlespeed.

I was there and it was excellent. 17 laps and 6th overall (pairs). Two crashes on the first two laps which are now killing me! Also eaten alive by the Midges. My body's not in a good place right now ๐Ÿ™

Nice pic bedmak! The sunset from Inverness looking over towards Contin was amazing around 10.30pm. 7 laps was good going epi.

The colours in the sky would have been a great reason to go out on each lap.. even when knackered.

Next time stuartie.. next time. You will feel better tomorrow.
