Just a quick poll really, bought a new charge spoon 2 weeks ago and it just seems to fit perfectly (had a spoon and knife before but not as comfy). This is the bog basic cromo railed version from wiggle.

4hrs today and no padded shorts required

When i used to cycle primarily as transport I never even considered the idea I might wear padded shorts. I used to ride all over, and when my saddle ripped and money was tight, I just ripped the cover off and rode the bare plastic chassis.
Now I almost always wear padded baggies or b&l. I'm not entirely sure why.

Sometimes I don't. Stuff like commuting or leisure riding I just ride in whatever I happen to be wearing, and there's no problem. Did 15 miles running around town and picking blackberries the other day, no problem at all.

It's just not necessary to get dressed up for riding like that. ๐Ÿ™‚

I stopped wearing pads as it just makes me sweaty like hell. Just wear under armour undies and baggies. Works a treat.

I don't. When I used to it always felt like my shorts were falling down!

I only do if I'm going to be doing over 20 miles which isn't that often really.

Used to all the time. Only do now if I'll be riding for 3hrs or so plus. Stopping wearing liners regularly also coincided with a change to a cheapo Charge Spoon, dont think I could have gone without on my old Spesh BG leather thing.

I don't
maybe on very cold rides
but I don't need them - even 70+ miles on the road bike is fine
pants and baggies

Nope really can't stand them, happily do 6+ hours with out, must have a tough arse, or most of you are too sensitive ๐Ÿ˜‰

If you need double comfort you have the wrong saddle for your arse.

I never do, don't like how they feel. Have to admit there were times in France where I'd probably have killed for one, had a bad case of monkey butt by the end of the week but even with my skinny Knife saddles I just don't feel any need the rest of the time.

Never worn them. I was going to buy some once but didn't like the wearing a nappy feeling when I tried them on so didn't bother.

Not needed on the B17, normally do on the road bike as I wear bib shorts/longs.

I don't in summer on the full sus. Rode 5 hours last weekend with no problem. Winter and hard tails is another matter.
