[#6886120]

Looking to get the bars an inch and a half higher on the rigid SS. No steerer left to play with, and I want to keep the same bars.

Only non-gopping one I can find trawling CRC, Wiggle etc is the Bontrager Race Light (-lite, probably), but the pairs of face plate bolts are really close together - doesn't look a lot better than 2 bolt.

I might fretting about nothing, but I wouldn't mind a bit more clamping area on a carbon bar I'm going to be hauling hard on.

Looking for 100mm ish, 25° rise.

Any ideas? Cheers!

There's no such thing as a nice high rise stem.
so you might as well just buy the one you feel suits your clamping criteria and pocket best

Why not some higher rise bars (assuming you're not already running something that looks like it should be on a BMX!)

We've used Easton stems on touring bike builds before - I think they only come in 17 degree rise though.

Ritchey make some nice ones too and they may have higher rises I think.

Failing that something like System EX might be your only option and they're decent quality though not as nice-looking as a branded stem.

It's all relative! by gopping, I really meant the adjustable ones.

They're Answer 20/20's, I really like the shape, and the weight's a factor too, they just need to be a bit higher. They're too expensive to consign to the parts bin without trying the stem route first.

Drover thanks very much, I'll check out those co's sites.

Whats your current stack height? Try a low stack height stem + spacers.

there is a 3T one ,17 degrees, which is quite deceptive in how much height you get.

3Tat wiggle 100mm +17deg

in fact i am selling mine after a recent bike change, hardly any use - pretty understated graphics and i like the 3T cutout on the face plate especially if you have chrome bars 😉 give me a shout if you want it, still boxed and everything.

On-one wins! Thanks restless! I had a spin through that before, but obviously didn't hit the winning combo.

Ta.

And if 35° puts it too high, I can always drop the stem under some spacers. That'll improve the look of the bike even more!
