Hi all, cleaning my bike today I noticed that on the large chainring there is a white looking solid substance which can peel off, any idea what it might be ? I am guessing I will need a new chainring so I just need to hope I can hold out till payday to get one.[img]

Looks like it's just a bit of corrosion. Ride on, but try lubing your chain!.

This photo was taken as soon as I noticed it, I have since cleaned and lubed my chain 🙂

It's classed as "manky dirty" I clean it off and lube!!
