Are they any good, reliable? Looking at the 135mm flxed/free option for my CX. I know they take their own special sprocket which i'm not to bothered about. Also where's the cheapest place to buy them?
Ive been running one for a year os so, great bit of kit.Was worried after reading some reviews , but mine has worked perfectly. The Freewheel is the best quality out there.Ive only used mine as a freewheel, not tried the fixes option.
Very good, very reliable, very simple to set up, very shiny, very noisy with white industries freewheel, very nice bit of kit.
I bought one years ago from Milwaukee cycles (bens cycles) in the states for a very good price, but I'd check out tim at sideways cycles coz if you get stung for import duties it'll make sod all difference.
Guess your right about the import duty, have been stung a couple of times but even more annoying is when FedEX had a parcel in their warehouse for over two weeks before dispatching it.
Bearings are a bit exposed ,I have the proper tool to get the freewheels off which will I have for sale!
Great hubs. Great freewheels. Are you sure your 135mm on your CX as 130mm is the norm. Buy from one of the sidemongers Tim or Charlie.
Ran one a few years ago to convert an old road frame to fixed. Worked perfectly but eventually sold it on when I bought a pompino frame (which is running a White Industries fixed hub). Got it from Sideways Cycles, it's always nice to support small, local bike shops ๐
Thanks for replies. Yep 100% sure its 135mm
