I'd like to swap cranks off my other bike. It's a Shimano hollowtech XT crank that takes an external threaded BB.
Obviously I can't use that BB on this frame . Is there a BB that will let me use my XT cranks on this bike?
The BB pictured is a square taper

I'd guess that if it's a square taper BB, then you'd be able to use the externally threaded BB? They both will likely be using a BSA threaded shell from what I can tell?
Your question isn't clear. Square taper and HT external cup BBs both use the same size threaded BB shell. It's just a case of matching the BB to the cranks. With an HT type you vary the spacers depending on whether the BB shell is 68 or 73mm wide; with square taper you have to buy a specific 68 or 73mm version (plus take into account the crank requirements,e.g.needing 107,110,113mm axles, for example).
It just looks that if I use external cups the BB will be approaching fat bike widths.
Assumed I would need to use aBB that fits flush.
I'll measure it up tonight.
PX website (yeah - I know, not the most reliable…) states it’s a BSA Threaded BB

Standard bottom bracket with external cups @zippykona
Think the shell is 73mm, so one spacer on the drive side and all good.
Not 100% sure it's 73 and not 68 tbh, although fairly sure it's 73mm, but a regular external bottom bracket will do, of that I'm 100%.
I've had Hope 24mm, 30mm, Sram Dub and currently got Shimano Saint one in mine.
EDIT- here you go. External btm bracket and no spacers in non drive side telling me it is 73mm.

+1 73mm threaded BB, so any external HT2 cups will be fine (Shimano, Hope, Acros, Uber, NP, etc...)
