Done it for the last two years giving it a miss this time, moving on. Rode there on Friday just gone, was good as it was peaceful. One of the things that put me off was the "log jam" that always happens at the top of the first climb.
Oh and we stayed at Braithwaite, at the bottom of the hill, just off the A66
