Bring your uphill legs. If you go too steadily you'll be lapped ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I'll be there, lost in the middle of 450 others... Well, at the start then progressing quickly backwards. Wonder how they will start that many off ?

Same as at Grizedale, all at once - 3,2,1, go. The whippets will push past everyone 5 minutes before the start to get poll position and make sure that their race faces are mean enough ๐Ÿ˜‰ .
I might start near the back to experience some overtaking - albeit briefly...
not getting lapped may be a good target...

Should make it a laugh then, last time I raced was 20 years ago on a borrowed bike in a downhill race and broke my collarbone. Starting this one with a suspected cracked rib done 2 weeks ago... Bring on the snow, softer landings.

mentalalex.

Its slippy this time of year. Also a lot of the surface has worn over winter so there's a lot of sharp/flinty rock/slate exposed in certain sections. I thought about light tyres but i think anytime gained will be lost going down and even more when your fixing the cut in the sidewall!!
Sticking with bigger tyres.

Is it going to be 2 identical 15mls laps or is it a figure of 8 type affair?

Looking forward to it now. Grey pipedream Sirius if anyone cares

anyone know if there are any feed/drink stations at all, or is is entirely self supported ?

nothing on the website or recent e-mail to say what the situation is

I'll be playing, just got to choose which SS gear to run on the 29er.
19 or 20 on the back?

Although the climbs are on fire roads are there any killer hills?
