Hi,

I am looking to take advantage of the Cycle to Work scheme and buy a 2nd bike (I currently own an Orange 5 Diva). Looking for a descent hardtail for off-road riding, which I can also use for commuting and the occasional cross-country race.

The Cycle to Work limit is £1000. Below is a list of the bikes I am currently considering. If anyone could shed any light on which of these are any good it (or suggest alternatives below £1000) it would be much appreciated! One other thing- I need a model which comes in a 14/14.5 inch frame (I'm 5'2"!).

Felt Q9 FW
Trek 6700 WSD
Cannondale F1 FEMININE
Lapierre TECNIC 700 LADY

Many thanks!

My SO is 5ft2 and found the trek 14" to be too big.

The Specialized Myka at 15" comes out with a lower stand over than the 14" trek... odd sizing.

Definitely try before you buy, the sizing seems very inconsistent.

That Orange with a fork upgrade to the Fox would be pretty sweet.

Thanks!

The new Orange Diva hardtail looks pretty good.

Very keen on the Cube WLS SL but don't think I will be able to get it on C2W as it is just over £1000.

Favorite at the moment is the Felt Q9 FW. Anyone have any experience of this bike?
