I'm looking for a set of cheap brake to finish of a build.
Looking to spend £50 max. They are for an old Giant Trance so don't need to be anything fancy.
Any recommendations?

I've got a set of MT500 calipers and 501 levers which you could have for not much. New pads needed though and tbh they're not far off £50 new.
My honest opinion is that they're fine. When it's dry.
I'm renowned for shooting myself in the foot.

Honestly, i've been running Zoom HB850s on a Santa Cruz (i know, strange mix)
They're clearly a copy of old Shimanos, but they've been absolutely fine.
Cost about the same as a set of new Shimano brake pads. The finish is what you'd expect, but the function has been fine all the way through a set of rear pads.
