Which tyres for Gorrick XC?

Hi,

Getting back into XC racing after a few years and starting with the Gorrick XC Spring Series next week. What's the tyre of choice for those trails around Bracknell / Surrey?

I currently have Maxxis Ikon's but I suspect they might not be burly enough, especially at this time of year.

Rocket Rons atm, Ralphs/Thunderburts in summer.

Yeah its not too bad in Crowthorne right now, you'll skip about in places with Ikons, but will probably compensate on the faster bits.
