Sadly the Hope bottom bracket I've got is messing with my chain line just slightly too much. I really don't want to have to get rid of these middleburn cranks, so...

Can anybody advise me on a 68mm x 113mm bottom bracket?

There seems to be quite a lot of small brands available or am I best just getting the old Shimano UN54 which has been around for donkey's years. Cant find any UN73's sadly!

Budget is £40 max, thank you!

UN26 seems to work at least as well, and very cheap 🙂

UN54's less than 15 quid from Merlin Cycles

went for the UN54 from merlin, happy to support a company that have been a pleasure in the past to deal with!

Long term view? I'm using a Royce BB and have been for a number of years now... Still spinning sweetly after all this time here at home in nasty wet Wales and a fair few stints elsewhere. It wasn't £40:00- but in the long term is well worth it I think- and you get a nifty sticker with it. Also, possibly of greater importance, there is the ability to adjust the side to side positioning thus altering the chainline.
