My first time fitting it so do I need 21 or 25mm tape? My rims are dt Swiss 5.10!
Also do you guys go around the rim twice with the tape?

Afraid my experience was that tape alone doesn't work on 5.1s- the rim profile doesn't lend itself to just taping, it had no grip and burped very easily.
The DT and Stans rim strip kits both work well though (I had one in each end)
You need a Stans rimstrip kit for 5.1 rims.
They work well though, just put a new tyre on my 5.1 rim and the strip has been in over 6 years and numerous tyres.
Noooo that's not what I wanted to hear I've read up and a good few people are running tubeless! So I wonder how they went about it?

Once the strips were in it worked perfectly tubeless, for me. Does add a bit of weight and cost though (but in perspective, still lighter than any sensible tube)
So it's the strips I need not the tape?
