... use with a XT M780 10spd (triple) chainset please.

Is it the FD-M780, or the FD-M781 ?

From reading the Shimano tech-docs, I'm not actually sure I'm seeing any difference 'twixt them; the range, pull-direction, chainlines all read the same (aren't they?).

For completeness, it'll be bottom-pull routing arrangement (ie under the BB - which is a normal 68mm shell), and the mech will be clamped around a 30mm seat-tube.

I normally just bung a 'Deore' f-mech on, as they happily go both ways, and fit almost anything, but I thought it might make a change to have something that actually matches this time.
