[#10363420]

Having just purchased a OneUp components seat post i need to buy a compatible remote. OneUp were out of stock of the standard bar mount remote so i was going to buy an aftermarket remote.

Wiggle has the OneUp remote but I want to know if they are any better remotes that works with this dropper or is the OneUp just the same as all others out there. The cable crimps into the remote end if that helps.

I think the brand-x remote will work, is decent enough and is cheaper.

I'd go Wolftooth or PNW Loam lever if you're willing to spend a few quid.

I have the loam lever and it's great.

A recommendation of what not to buy: the Cane Creek one. It's overly complicated collection of undersized, all differently sized little screws that manages to be pretty unergonomic despite being adjustable in every direction.

Of others I've laid my grubby fingers on I'd probably go for the WT. One Up's is too much plastic.

Thanks for the replies. I will take a look at both the wolftooth and Loam levers. As an option can these be paired with hope brake levers in a matchmaker type fitting?

Oh boy..

There was a lengthy thread on this very subject a couple of weeks ago but the upshot is that it depends on the type of Hope lever (Race or Tech).

If you have Race levers then you are out of luck as far as the Wolftooth lever goes, don't know about the Loam lever, the only one that I can confirm works with the Hope Race matchmaker adapter is the BikeYoke one that TFTuned sell.

If you have Tech levers then I think one of the I-Spec types for the Wolftooth will fit straight on but you'd want to double check that.

I'm running tech levers.

Regards the bikeyoke lever, according to the bikeyoke site you install front to back. Which is opposite to my requirements.

I've got the one up lever and i'm a big fan.

Got a reverb on the other bike and it feels like a step back into the dark ages using that stupid piston

They do one for both directions now..

See..  https://www.tftuned.com/triggy-lever-rear-cable-feed-fox-giant/p3359

#EDIT : Of course as you are running Tech levers that opens up your options considerably I believe.  Once again you'd need to double check but I think you could get either the Wolftooth or the One-Up to matchmake onto the Tech lever.

In a 'recommend what you have' way I'll suggest the £17.95 Bontrager Drop Line lever - superb.

I've got that and a KS SouthPaw and the Bonty lever is probably better.
