[#2221053]

Just finished building my soul up and was going to finish it with a thomson post but i've read that they are too stiff for a steel frame making the ride harsh.
I've put an old fsa post on it for now which feels fine but is scratched to death and out of keeping with the condition of the rest of the bike (sad i know).
Please help me choose a decent post with a limit of around £60. Not a fan of carbon anything so carbon seatposts aren't an option for me.

Many thanks in advance.
Steve

Utter tosh, stick a Thomson in it and be done with it, that's what I have in mine anyway.

Thomson too stiff? Cobblers. If £60 is your budget and you don't want carbon, then one alloy tube is pretty much like any other. Get a Thomson, they're reet nice.

"too stiff for a steel frame making the ride harsh"
to be frank, Bollocks.
They are lovely.
I have a silver thomson in my soul, and would happily ride all day.
Buy one and enjoy.

Ah, Soul...you'll benefit from a stiff one in that.

All sounds good, thanks for rubbishing that one.
I'm a fan of thomson posts, the quality and finish is second to none. Thomson it is then.
Many thanks,
Steve
