Not got a budget as such but prob around £40-£80 - pref black with red / red - sleak design without peak to replace old Animas I am using as a road helmet - now falling apart and giving me helmet head spots coz I cant wash the innerds

Pneumo, if they still do it?

Spend a bit more and get a 2D otherwise, best helmet out there!

Pneumo has been replaced by Athlon. I loved my Pneumo, it did a sterling job of stopping my head hit the road.

Giro's just done fit me, they seem to be to small front to back.

I really like the Bells, the Sweep R is my fave

I've got Sweep R

Very comfy/light & well vented
I flattened & cracked the side of the first one I had with a high speed off & replaced it under the 1/2 price crash replacement program
I was very impressed with the amount of damage it took without my head taking any

Ribble got it for £76.50 - Hmmm - then you start looking at the really expensive ones and get carried away 🙂

If it fits your head then a Spesh s-works 2D, very light and well ventilated, best in Silence-Lotto scheme IMO...

I have the red/silver sweep and can honestly say ... its the best helmet ive ever worn , fit is first class ... i use 1 off road and 1 on the road ..
I prefer it to either giro and met and ive had both ... bell all the way
plus when i bought mine they were only £49 !

Or find a nice MTB version and take the peak off for road riding. A lot of the (xc) mtb helmets are just the road ones with a peak.
