[#12016315]

Summer road bike (Creo SL) has just had a full degrease after a few hundred dusty miles last few weeks, so it’s drying off overnight and will have some fresh lube in the morning, one of these, but I’m open to the majority on which..

I have tried loads over the years, for different applications and types of riding, these are my most used for the road bike.

Only one of these please, I don’t want to buy more lube !

Criteria :

Mostly dry rides, varying from 25-75 miles, couple of rides a week
Want to have things as clean as possible, minimal noise
Don’t mind wiping down and reapplying, and a full degrees every so often

Drivetrain is 11 speed ultegra with a di2 xt rear mech.

Not the Smoove prep, that's a chain cleaner. Do you have the Smoove to go with it?

As much as I liked squirt before I found Smoove, it never worked well on the road bike. People say it creates some sort of rubber attracting charge and goes black and funky really quickly.

Putoline, one application every 1300km on a dry ridden chain. (As used on my 11sp road bike).

Cheers, one for Smoove so far.

Last lube on it was the W&S 5, which is no longer sold. Peatys LinkLube is pretty close, being rebranded W&S 3, and is what I now use on the MTBs.

Smoove after using Squirt for a number of years. Seems to stick better in the wet so use it all year round in Wales

Smoove for me, only lube I’ve found that lasts on my gravel bike in the dry

Thanks for the thoughts and views.
