hi,

me and my brother are going up there from mon-thurs next week does anyone recommend any area dosnt matter? and is there and good bike hire shops about and prices for hire? weve done kirroughtree and the one close to it were taking 2 xcish bikes (hopefully if mine turns up in time ๐Ÿ™„ ) and one dh bike (thats why we need to hire one ๐Ÿ˜† )

If you're wanting DH, you'd be best sticking to Innerleithen and Glentress. Good choice of routes and the lower tracks are currently clear of snow. However, there is more snow forecast for next week, so you might have to play it by ear.

Have you thought about accommodation yet?

nope not yet its my dad whos taking us he is useless at traveling 1 spare pair of underwear is all he takes with him... ๐Ÿ˜‰ if we cant get anywhere the van's big enough for the three of us ๐Ÿ˜‰

If you're after something "affordable", you might want to check out the Cross Keys Hotel in Peebles. They have a couple of bunkrooms which sleep 4
