Hi I need a smallish non-hydration backpack to carry usual tools, keys, phone and extra layer etc for shortish trail rides (2-4hrs).

Any suggestions?

Aren't those little Osprey packs a bit pricey at about 50 quid for the little one? Or are they the dogs bits of small packs?

Why narrow your choices, you can always just leave the bladder out?

20 quid for the Alpkit bag is more like it.
