Hallo! I want to buy sunglasses for mtb riding. I ride enduro and light downhill. I would like a lens that has increased contrast, so the model should have that lens option (which lens is not a factor in this topic).
I am between these 2 models:
1. Bliz fusion
2. Oakley sutro
Has anyone tested them?
What matters is stability of the frame on my head. I don't want a frame that is not stable (enduro and dh riding), because you finally end up not wearing them.
Other factors are durability (frame+lens), and general quality (anti fogging + ventilation).
Kind regards
PS. I don't like the feeling of goggles that much, so i prefer a pair of sunglasses.
Have you looked at Melon. I have a pair for summer and they are great.
Having said that, I did move from a pair of Oakleys Flak Jacket with the Prizm Trail lens and those lenses are fantastic.
Melon do have a contrast guide and I chose one accordingly, but it’s not a patch on the Prizm.
I have some Oakley Sutros for the road and they are excellent. I have to stop myself wearing them for everyday use. but wouldn't dare use them on the MTB though as its a lot of money to get scratched/broken when muddy and you inevitably wipe them or in crashes
You're on the wrong track boy! There's only one choice for the raddest dudes. Channel the energy of a roid raging WWF star and feel the redneck spirit as the wind whistles through your magnificent mullet.

im more than happy with my Madison enigmas, having lost/scratched/ broken my share of posh glasses from Oakley, adidas evil eye etc the enigmas are really very good and i won't cry when they inevitably get scratched
I’ve lost to many pairs to spend more than £20 or so. I’ve had a couple sets of these and ver the years.
Decathlon do a range of roadie glasses. I've a pair. 40€. Honestly can't tell the difference when compared to my 120€ Oakley Prizm lenses.
These....

Edit.... I'm colour blind AF so maybe the whole Prizm thing is lost on me, but I can't see it makes 100€ difference. (pun intended)
I have the Bliz fusion with Nordic light lenses.
I have never had a problem with them fogging up and find them very comfortable to wear.
The fit of the Decathlon cycling glasses was terrible for me, I've quite a narrow face though.
I've a cheap pair from Alpkit, they don't have any fancy contrasts, just yellow, dark grey and very light grey. They fit quite well and do a good job of keeping the mud out.
Which nordic light lens do you have? Coral or begonia?
I went Sutro. So good i'm wearing them in the office right now. I even wear them to sleep.
Some of that may not be true.
I have the coral lenses for flat light. They work really for over cast days and when in tree cover.
What color base is the coral? Orange-red?
Does it really offer an enhanced view-contrast?
Is it also ok for relatively bright environment? (eg. alpine mtb trails)
I have the banana industries banoptics. Very impressed and currently £55
Thanks for the post Freeride and sorry for the minor hijack... I've been looking for a pair of riding glasses with the happy lenses, you know the ones, the ones that brighten the day up! I cant find any anywhere though :-/ Anyone?
Further to chestercopperpot's suggestion, you can channel the combined riding talent of Sam Reynolds, Olly Wilkins and Matt Jones with these beauties. Also available in pink.

I've got a pair. Nice things to look through.

They are red orange on the inside and have a blueish colour on the outside. They make everything brighter and a bit clear to pick out. Not sure if I am explaining that very well.
I have not used them in very bright light, as we have not had any this year. I think that is what the begonia are designed for.
These 2 images explain it better

!PIT VIPERS!
I used to wear all different varieties of cheaper riding glasses. But Oakleys have completely won me over. I recently bought some Sutros. Which are excellent. I also have a pair of Jawbreakers which are even better. What I like about both pairs is that I never have to touch them, or move them once I start riding - they just stay in place, no matter what I do.
the Sutros have the Trail Prizm lenses which I think are ace. (But I’ve only had them for a few weeks, so perhaps in still in the honeymoon phase). I wore my Sutros on a wet day this week. It basically lashed with rain for the whole ride. But I could see perfectly the whole way down a new unknown (to me) trail. Yet today, I wore the Sutros in lovely bright sunshine, and the glasses coped really well with both situations. I’m impressed.
Just as an aside - as they don't really meet your specific requirements.
Endura Dorado II's have really impressed me - it was a toss up between these and some Melon Alleycats. The Endura's have been superb. Clarity is good (I normally wear prescription glasses, but can ride in these). Wind reduction, photochromic, anti-fog and the hyrophobic properties are all good
