[#583161]

so considering getting some older (2005 onwards) 100mm forks, but I need to be looking for post mount (post mount 160mm mono mini issues)

anyone suggest any gooduns?

light but strong, ideally with v mounts and disk tabs

also do any carbon rigid forks come with post mounts?

Manitou

You can get adapters for post mount calipers and IS fork mounts for 160mm rotors. They're pretty common

Yup, Manitou did post mount from way back.

Don't Hope do different side bodies to take account of post/IS mounts and disc sizes? You can certainly get a plain adapter if not.

Nope.

Post mount fork and IS caliper requires +20mm in rotor size.

IS mount fork and post mount caliper just requires the right mount.

If its a mono mini, you can't get a half caliper. Plus if it is a number 2 {?} 160mm front IS caliper, you can't postmount it without using the +20mm IS to post mount.

If it is a number 2 160mm front post caliper, you just need a port to post mount, if it dosn't go on direct.

So your caliper looks like this?

If so you can use an IS mount fork and one of these:

It really is that simple.
