Need a carbon post for girlfriends Bfe, now do we get a 31.6 or a 27.2 and use a shim as it'll be getting drooped and raised a fair bit
recommendations please
I bought a Burgtec x-Press one. Very well made, tough, good twin bolt seat clamp, titanium bolts so no rust issues but only available in 300mm so perhaps too short. The only downside with it is the carbon has got pretty scratched from putting it up and down in the mud. Cycle store have them for £42.50 (half price).
The CarbonCycles Exotic ones are hard to beat for value - available up to 350mm.

personally, I'd go for a long Ti post rather than carbon.
Van Nic are pretty good and available in 27.2.

You do not want a carbon post if you drop/raise the seat a lot.
