So I narrowed it down to the two jackets named in the title. Warmth and packability are my priorities. Any thoughts to share?
They are different types of jacket. The Prism is a lightly insulated jkt designed as spare warm layer, whereas the Gore is a windprook jkt designed to be worn as outer layer while active. If anything you would be wearing the Gore and have the Prism in your pack for stops.
I've got the prism and it's ace....very light and pack able and unbelievably warm/wind proof...it's my second one, first one is my messy painting/wood chopping coat
Is it for riding? They're apples and oranges those 2 jackets. No way you'd wear a Prism riding but ideal for popping on when you stop or as an emergency warm layer for more remote rides.
Thanks all. So far it seems like the Fusion Cross is more appropriate for my needs.
Spin: Yes it is for riding.
Don't wear a prism for high cardio activities, you'll boil!
It's an awesome jacket, love mine, but I'd never wear it riding!

That
I have a Prism (two actually) and I'm looking at a Fusion Cross for riding.
Are there jackets similar to the Fusion Cross that I should consider?
I've got a prism too...wouldn't wear it on a bike, i'd die of heat exhaustion but a cracking jacket, warm, showerproof, light and packs down to nowt!

Phantom?
I have also looked the Phantom, but liking the added durability of the reinforced elbows on the Fusion Cross. I have decided to go with the Fusion. Cheers all.
