I had a look at the path when I bought my oxygen soft-shell. It's minimalist but very nicely made. Gore sometimes comes up quite small but a medium fitted me (5ft 11/40inch chest/33in waist) with enough room to get comfy on a bike. Only thing for me was the back was a little short for me (long back/short legs tho).
Not sure how much it packs down, probably quite a lot as it's not bulky at all. ProBike have some mediums on offer for £110 if that's your size.
Not tried the MT500, really couldn't be doing with the hood tho.
Endura Venturi II
Bloody brilliant and a removable hood.
Mt500 has nice features and well cut but leaks like a sieve.
Got a gore paclite for summer, packable and it works, breathable and waterproof.
Lol at leaking!!
Ill have a look at the Venturi as well
