Some mates are planning to ride the Mary Towneley Loop in a day, they're all pretty novice as mtb'ers so some are a bit apprehensive.
Another mate (who is also doing it) is an ex-roadie from yrs ago and reckons "it's only 50 miles or so" and thinks it will be a breeze, although he hasn't really ridden any great distance on a mtb off-road.
My regular cycling mate and i were talking about this, and wondering which is the hardest - the road C2C in a day, or the MTL in a day.
We've done both and tbh we're both leaning towards the MTL as being harder (ish) than the C2C - mind you, weather/ground conditions play a big part.
What do you lot think?
