Wahey, PP, the stage is set for another Shimano Vs Hope Vs the rest of the world hub debate! 😉

Hubs on my bikes (F/R):
XT/XT
XT/XT
SLX/XT
Shimano dynamo/Rohloff
Brompton/Sturmey

...and a pair of these on my hack, just to impress the ladies:

Nahh, I've proven my point. 😀

Mostly Hope pro II's, love the noise and got nothing but good things to say about them. Also ran a set of Kings - excellent too.

Have a Hope XC of uncertain history (got it off the Classifieds) on the rear of my s/s, never touched it just abused it and it's finally starting to stutter - deciding whether to send off to Hope for a rebuild or build a whole new wheel up. Money/sense dictates the former, but if I did the latter would probably be Pro II.

But has it been peer reviewed, this is surely just anecdotal evidence 😉

CK's

They may be overpriced but they make me happy.

Had CKs they made me very very unhappy. Serviced by the importer, LBS, NWMTB loosened off at the sight of daylight, regardless of who'd looked at them. Not for the fuller figured Peak riding enthusiast. Fine for my mate's girlfriend who now has them and the noise was ace. On the odd occasion they worked.

Hope -Tiglide/XC/Mono/Bulb/Pro II -all share ease of service, noise, slightly portly, difficult to break

Shimano Deore - it's on the commuter - who cares?

Occasionally Campag Veloce on the road.

HED tri spokes on the rare occasion that I venture near ridiulous races of pain rather than joy. Usually with a reet early start, but perhaps that's a good thing as no one looks good in a skin suit.

Deore XT 6-Bolts

Heavy, and crap according to many, but they work fine for me.

Pro IIs - one bearing change and one freehub after 3 years service (cracked freehub body on Skyline when attempting to flee the edge of the quarry...vertigo kicked in 8O). Love the hubs and the noise, great for warning ramblers

Mavic SLRs - New rear wheel after 11 monts service due to freehub body disintegration

CKs 20mm front and ISO rear - took a while to get used to the humming of the angry bees, but faultless and Mango.hmmmmmmmm

hope pro 3s on the mountainbike and love the clicking so just brought a pair of hope xc off the classifieds for a tourer I'm building. The rear hub is a bit sticky. Was going to ignore it but seeing as everyone here seems to service theirs I guess I shouldn't be so lazy...
