I have a v1 bronson, so 12x142 at the rear. Wheels are hope pro 2 evo and they list a 12mm and x12, which one do I need?

I think X12 is the correct one (12x142), as opposed to "12mm", which means 12x135.
yup. You want the X12 one.
It is just the supplied end cap that is slightly different (turned down a bit more) on the XD so it can be fitted after the cassette is installed.
