[Closed] which heli tape for crank arms?

just after some that will stick on crank arms, i have got some helitape already but it really does not want to stick the arms, could be due to the cold etc? they are brand new crank arms too, and id like to keep them as black as possible without losing the xt writing too as my feet wear away at those specifics bits...

any recommendations on which will actually stick to shiny new metal?

self amalgamating tape? sticks to itself not the bike too so no nasty residue!

crank arms though... ?

crank arms are black, xt writing silver, its already starting to come off after 3 rides in the peak grit! ๐Ÿ™

Fair enough... personally I'd let the writing go. stuff like that doesn't bothr me.

Use a hair dryer on the tape. The heat makes it go a bit more limp and gives the adhesive more of a chance to bond.

i know and i wasnt bothered on my silver ones previous...just the black ones could well look awful after only a few months, just preserving the writing abit should help....its only rubbing by the way off my shoes, the paint isnt actually stripping off from grit, just from grit grime on shoes rubbing..
