My Altura Attack shorts have been leaving me with a wet arse after rides so it's time to replace. They really didn't get much use but the gritty water has the material at the back and seams.
Are any of the alternatives any harder wearing?
Bump now everyone's back to work
Tick- as I've just posted this! http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=20024&t=12828825
Have found my Endura Event ones very good
OP - Mine did that too, got them warrantied.
Had THREE pairs of the Endura ones do the same before.
If there are any without a horizontal seam across the bum then they might be worth a go.
My gore ones have finally fallen apart after about 3 years use. I use them commuting so they do get a lot of use. I'll be buying another pair of them.
Endura Superlites for me - great value at about £50

SimonR, do the Superlites really keep your arse dry? I find the front of the legs are waterproof, but I still get a soggy arse & nether regions with mine, and have done since they were new.
Hora - if it's your inner thigh near your groin it could be Jock-Itch (ring worm) - not as bad as it sounds really, just a litle fungal infection that can be cured with a cream like canesten
Sorry for hijacking thread!
On thread I quite fancy getting a pair of these - http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/clothing/shorts/product/alp-x-shorts-9966/#user_reviews
