Whistler (both the bike park and other trails)?

Currently riding a Minion DHF 2.35 60a but its been on for about a year now and getting a bit worn. I like the Minion, I've only really lost the front end at woburn after a dry spell where it got very dusty and sandy. Not really sure what the ground at Whistler is meant to be like but I guess a bit dusty in the summer? Been looking at either a 42a Minion DHF or maybe the Specialized Clutch SX. Or just another of what I have now.

Always used single ply on the front and never had a pinch flat on there apart from one very hard front wheel landing. Is it worth getting dual ply or the 1.5 ply like the spesh has?
