I use one of those tiny jobs that screw onto the canister. Works great and is properly small!
Got it for way under a tenner from that place that sells the cheap refills (tyreinlaftors.com or something...?)

Pretty much all of them, just be careful of freezing your fingers to it when inflating a tire.

I have the wee SKS one with a valve. I prefer being able to control the flow of CO2. I've seen/heard too many tubes escaping from poorly seated beads under pressure.
