Thinking of getting a set of clincher disc road wheels for my Ti Tripster (currently using open pros on hope hubs).. I have a budget of about £350.
Havent a clue which ones?? What width, weight etc..
Anyone help?

Is the Tripster standard QR?
I had the same decision for my Domane but it's bolt through front and rear and hub choice for 11 speed was limited. Went for Pro2's on NoTubes Alpha in the end. The novatec equivalents where heavy as and I didn't fancy commuting on carbon rims 🙂

NoTubes Alpha

Discs or standard 340's? I was going looking at these, but the Disc version has a quoted weight higher than the standard rim braking 340's and higher than Open Pro's....

I went for the Alpha 400 Disc, 340 Disc is the same weight and the standard 340 isn't supposed to be used with a disc hub.
Both ~420g

I got soem from lightbicycle, with novatec disc hubs

I use them with rim brakes at the moment so can't comment on the braking

were between 3-400, including import duty etc

Just noticed how much stronger the £ is against the $
Still slightly overwhelmed with choice.

Im thinking 23mm wide and 38mm deep rims and novatec hubs.
something like these.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/wider-carbon-38mm-wheels-road-bikes-700c-clincher-/321325967380?pt=US_Wheels_Wheelsets&hash=item4ad0852814

Is there any benefit of U shaped rims?? what finish? Weight?
