I need some sintered pads for older style shimano brakes as my stash of fibrax ones has finally ran out.

Any recommendations? Superstar? (are they reliable?) Ebay? Stop being so tight and get fibrax ones?, currently £55 for 4 pairs on CRC?

Cheers

Another vote for Disco pads. Basic type are about £5.25 each i think.

I was fine with superstar until one of the pads came off the backing whilst on the best downhill section of a welsh trail centre. Very unerving and has put me off using them again.

Currently using Octo-pads here, still alive. I think it was a bad patch, badly handled consumer-wise

I found fibrax to be not as good as the EBC they replaced, false economy IMO, not tried super-death.

I got some Avid pads from the woolley hat shop that seem quite good. Only just put them in so I don't know how long they'll last
