A vague opening, but what would people recommend for a general brake bleed kit please?  Bikes include both dot and mineral oil set ups. First job will be some dodgy Clarks M4s...

Tips appreciated!

Ta.

Epic bleed systems are my normal ones.  You will likely want 2 sets (assuming you can use one set on everything) as you won't want to use both mineral and dot in the same syringes. A lot of the kits are brand specific so don't be surprised if you need a few sets.

As above, the biggest thing is keeping your mineral and dot kits separately and not mix them up. It would probably be fine with a decent IPA flush between uses, but why risk it

I tend to bulk buy tube and syringes from eBay or Amazon and specific nipples from Epic Bleed Solutions, or Total Bleed Solutions. Sometimes from the manufacturer xxx or just cut down a bleed nipple.

I've got a random bleed kit from eBay before has all the fixings and syringes and tubing. There are probably better kits out there but it means it will work on the mix of Shimano, SRAM and Magura we have.
Just buy two, one for dot and one for mineral.

Basically this https://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-parts/view-all-bike-parts/clarks-universal-hydraulic-brake-bleed-kit-280283.html

I usually go to Epic like many above.  I do have a very old Avid kit that I use for any DOT brakes it fits and the nice syringes are nicer to use but it’s never really made a difference to a bleed.  I wont be splashing out on a Park kit until I win the lottery

I'm quite happy with the kit I got from Total Bleed Solutions (Shimano compatible kit).

Can't remember why I bought it specifically (perhaps price/availability at short notice)... but it works well. Prior to that, I was using a Shimano cup and a random bit of hose (bleeding them from the top).

It's definitely made my life easier. 👍

Always been happy with Epic, also been out riding with the owner and he used to post on here, if that's worth anything to anyone, good guy. It feels like a bunch of the others have just cashed in on them.
