[Closed] Which brake adapter / rotor?

I have a Hope mini X2 (post mount) on Fox forks (post mount) with 160mm disc. I would like something bigger (180mm).
Looking at what is available, I can get a hope adapter (H) and a 183mm hope disc. Not cheap though.
Can I mix with Shimano? The Shimano adapter is cheaper, and 180mm. There seems to be more choice of 180mm discs on the classified. Are the 180 and 183 interchangable?
