After years of working on bikes with them being propped up against walls, bashing in headset cups with the frame between my knees ( 🙄 ) I have decided that a bike/work stand would make life a lot easier!

Any suggestions?

Plan would be to also use the stand to store a bike (one above another) if that makes the requirement special 😕

Do most stands offer the ability to clamp the seatpost and TT?

Not got loads to spend - perhaps up to £100 😕 If Mrs LMTTM asks it will have been free off of a forum! 😆

Many thanks,

Mark

One of these: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Minoura_RS-5000_Workstand/5360011477/

Japanese quality, and one of the most copied designs of stand. Had one for around 5 years and it gets used loads, they're really light weight and fold up to a small size, perfect if you ever want to take it to a race or on a trip with you. Have heard good things about the Ultimate stands as well.

Ribble do the Merlin one even cheaper. Or similar anyway. Its a little bit creaky and wobbly, but its perfect for most jobs, and about £50 iirc.

+1 for the minoura we use one in the workshop and although it's old and tatty I can't justify replacing it.
