hi

I'm looking a buying a bike stand got a budget on up to £150 but the cheeper the better as i can spend the change on beer this weekend.

Which ones do you use and which ones should i avoid

work stand?

i bought a cheap one - and now want another one. buy a good one. park or ultimate are highly rated.

I've got this one - [url= http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=5787 ]Park work stand[/url]- does the job well. Got it a couple of years ago when it was about 20 quid less though. If you've got a free garage wall then one of the wall bracket mounted ones would work.

cheers had a look at the park they seem to always produce quality goods and get some great reviews

i'll get the card out and invest

I managed to get the pro-elite (when they were Ultimate) on offer a while back (jaws open wide enough for the 2" tubes on a recumbent bike), but the Sports Mechanic is 129 and might have been my next preference otherwise - both fold up well, v stable, etc. I'm sure the Park jobbie would do the job well, too.

Mine is slightly different though. Not sure I'd need much else, particularly after I've got a bag of compost/water salt on the legs.

I've had a Minoura Rs500 for a good few years now, highly rate it. Basically looks like the one EBC among others have copied, but a bit sturdier, and with a much nicer clamp!

Ultimates are meant to be good too if you can justify the cash.
