I need a new BB for my 2007 Race Face Deus Crankset. The Race Face one is X-type and didn't last particularly well. If I were to buy a Superstar one, which should I go for? Is RF X type the same as HT2? Which Superstar BB should I go for or should I steer clear altogether?

Depends on budget, had a Race Face x-type on one bike, lasted 6 months, replaced it with a Superstar ceramic one, lasted 9 months and just replaced it with a Hope stainless steel one. Given some people have only gotten one ride out of the Superstar ones they're hard to recommend, I can't really complain from my own experience though.
