Hi,
I'm in the market for some new baggy biking shorts, what does every one rate? Had some Endura humvees, which I liked but want something different.I also didn't like the inner short that came with the humvees, so suggestions for these would be good aswell?

Buy a set of shorts you like without a liner, then purchase some decent bib shorts as the liner short, job done and way better/more comfy than any baggies and the crappy liners they all seem to come with.

If you want a single buy solution, the latest Sugoi Gustovs and the liner they come with are both ace, the liner is much better than previous version and very good. Not cheap though.

AS BWD says, Sugoi are particularly good - but pricey.

For £50 I am immensely pleased with the Bontrager Rhythm shorts that I bought a few weeks ago; the liner is fantastic for the price and the shorts fit well - no front pockets, which is a nice idea.

Love my Ground Effect Juggernauts with either the stock inner liner or more usually Aldi lycra biking shorts.

I really like the Endure singletrack baggies, they don't come with liners either, which is a bonus because the endura liners are mleh at best, as you have noticed.

They are made of tougher fabric than the humvees, and the normal short and the 3/4 lengths are both good.

just get some lycra shorts you get on with. I get on with endura fs260 pro shorts, but they aren't all that cheap. Bib shorts are supposed to be more comfy, but I haven't tried them yet.

I've got some endyra zyme baggys and some endura humvee shorts, both very comfy with the pop in 6 panel liner.

endura singletrack or mace nos both very comfortable. Endura liners are cheap enough and very comfortable. i find fox sargeants far too thin for riding in anything other that sunshine.

I wouldn't recommend the Endura Singletracks. Very comfortable but all the stitching on the inseam just wore away after a few months resulting in a massive hole. I sent them back to Wiggle for a refund and got a pair of Royal shorts and bought their dhb inners which are very comfortable and cheap.

Had some Endura Singletracks for over a year, worn regularly , no probs with stitching or owt. Got a pair of Humvees about a month ago - the shorts are fine, the liner is, er, well, pants.

Sugoi Gustov's are amazing. They're the only baggies I'd ride for more than 3 hours in. I rode 130 miles in them last weekend and it was comfort all the way (at least it was comfort between me and the saddle, not so sure about my legs, arms, and sanity).

I wouldn't bother with bibs if you're going to wear them with baggies. IMO, the advantage of bibs is that it stops them from slipping down a little and snagging on the saddle. If you're wearing baggies over the top, this isn't an issue.

All this talk about bib shorts with baggies. What happens when you need to stop for a pee? No on second thoughts please don't share that with me.

Does anyone know of some decent baggies with silicon gripper around the waist (on the inside...)? I prefer wearing bibs with mine but find the baggies keep slipping down unless I do them up uncomfortably tight. I think I read Oakley Berms have waist grippers but no one seems to stock them.

Another vote for Spesh Enduro's here, so good I dont see the need to try anything else.

EXCEPT

Fuzzywuzzy has a point as I like longs or 3/4 under in the winter and a waiste gripper would be nice....

Swobo liners are ace for me - just difficult to get hold of, Stif are the Uk importers, and they have sporadic stock only.

Fuzzy Wuzzy- Gore Bike Wear Freeride Lady shorts have silicon on them. But not on the mens yet.
But the mens version of the Freeride shorts' inners do come with the same pad as the £60 Power lycra shorts. So a good quality proper pair of riding shorts. But not cheap.
