Is it me or does anyone else wonder what motivates people to start these particularly inane threads? Really, I haven't a clue what you are going on about.

I'm a cyclist, but only when I'm on a bike.

Probably about the best way to sum up my bike status, plus car enthusiast when I'm in a car. (Can say that here! Unlike some road forums where motorist and cyclist are the exclusive set.)

But I choose not to do DH, 4X, Ewok Village, and riding with the rear of the saddle touching the back wheel and the pointy end pointing skywards (oooh!).

XXXC is a bit more than agro XC. It's more a way of life and state of mind. The bike and the mountains take you on a journey. At the end of it you feel more complete, but a little bit drained.

I'd say I'm strictly XXXC unless I'm racing when I'd jeycore.
